Apple announced two September puzzle arrivals on August 11: Block Blast!+ and Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+. Both were scheduled to join Arcade on September 3, according to the release.
They share the convenience of a puzzle that can occupy a small gap in the day. The actual activities differ enough that choosing between them deserves more than the label cozy.
| Game | Main activity described by Apple | Developer |
|---|---|---|
| Block Blast!+ | Place blocks to clear grid rows and columns | Hungry Studio |
| Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+ | Assemble nature artwork and discover wildlife stories | Klemens Strasser |
Block Blast!+ emphasizes fitting shapes, clearing space, and building combinations. Art of Fauna pairs jigsaw-style play with information about wildlife and conservation. Apple highlighted accessibility features in the latter, though individual players still need to check the specific controls they require.
What the subscription changes
Apple said the Arcade versions would have no advertisements or in-app purchases. That can make a familiar game feel different during a short session, since a break in play does not need to become a separate purchase decision.
It also makes the exact edition important. A search result for a similarly named game is not necessarily the Arcade version carrying the plus sign.
The two App Store listings make the difference more concrete. Block Blast!+ uses an 8-by-8 grid. Art of Fauna lets a player assemble an illustration or reconstruct its accompanying text, and its developer lists options including simplified text, adjustable colors and VoiceOver support.
That text-puzzle route gives Art of Fauna a second activity beyond a conventional picture jigsaw. A player who wants to clear space and chase a score has a different task in Block Blast!+. Check the preferred control and accessibility option on the intended device before treating either title's relaxed description as proof of suitability for every player.
The announcement gave a U.S. Arcade price of $6.99 per month and said a family subscription could cover up to six people. Device compatibility varied by title. Before subscribing for one puzzle, open that game's listing on the device intended for play and check whether an existing family or Apple One plan already includes access.
