Effective October 25, 2026.

Edit USA is a general-audience publication, not a service designed for children. This notice explains our approach to children and teenagers and supplements the privacy policy. Questions from parents, guardians and younger readers are welcome at info@editusa.com.

Children under 13

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children under 13 should not join the email list or send personal information through email. They can ask a parent or guardian to contact us instead.

The site does not offer children's accounts, public comments, chat or payment features. We do not ask readers to submit a birth date or identity document just to read an article. A general-audience label does not remove obligations that apply when a publisher learns it holds a child's information.

If you believe a child under 13 provided an email address or other personal information, email info@editusa.com with enough detail to locate it. Please do not include unnecessary information about the child. We will take appropriate steps to verify the request, remove information collected without a lawful basis and prevent its further use. A parent or guardian can also ask what information we hold about their child and request deletion, subject to applicable law. We normally do not need a government ID to handle an email-list request.

Teenagers

We do not run advertising profiles, sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, including for teenagers. Reading does not require a public account. A teenager who signs up for email can ask to unsubscribe or delete the signup, just as other readers can. Privacy requests do not require a new account.

External videos and ordinary links

An embedded video loads only when someone chooses Play. Permission for embedded media can be turned off in privacy choices. Once a player loads or a reader follows an external link, that service receives information under its own practices. Parents and guardians may wish to review those services and use browser or device controls appropriate for their household.

Requests and retention

We use proportionate checks before releasing or changing records, including confirming a parent's or guardian's authority when necessary. We keep the information used to handle a request only as needed to resolve it, protect the site and meet applicable obligations. Removal from active records may precede removal from rotating backups; no fixed backup deletion period is promised.

The Federal Trade Commission's children's privacy resources explain children's privacy protections. We will update this notice if the service or our practices change.
