Effective October 25, 2026.
Edit USA is the trade name used for this publication, based in Los Angeles, California, US. In this policy, “Edit USA,” “we” and “our” refer to the publisher operating this website. This policy explains how we handle information on this website and when you contact us. You can reach the publisher with general questions or privacy requests at info@editusa.com. Our privacy choices, California notice and minors privacy notice give more detail about your options.
What you give us
If you join our email list, we store your email address, signup date and consent record. Signup is free and does not create a reader account. No email delivery provider is currently connected. Before sending a newsletter, we will connect delivery and unsubscribe handling and update this policy as needed. You can already ask us to unsubscribe you or delete your signup by emailing info@editusa.com.
If you email a question, correction or privacy request, we receive your address, message and anything you attach. Please send only information needed to explain the issue. We use correspondence to respond, check a report or handle your request.
The site currently has no public accounts, comments, checkout or payment collection. We do not install analytics scripts, advertising pixels or social media tracking SDKs. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information needed to operate the site
Your browser sends information needed to request a page, such as a network address and request details. The application temporarily uses an IP address to limit repeated email signup attempts. That rate-limit record stays in server memory for up to one hour. It is not an advertising profile.
Our hosting services may keep access, error and security logs containing IP addresses, requested pages, browser details and timestamps. Hosting log retention depends on the provider and its configuration; we have not established a fixed retention period for those logs.
The private editorial desk uses an essential session cookie, restricted to /admin, for login and security. Its maximum session duration is 12 hours. Reading public articles does not require that cookie.
Preferences on your device
The site can save privacy preferences and your choice of list or grid section views in your browser's local storage. These preferences stay on that browser and are not sent to us as an analytics record. The initial section view is a list. You can disable remembering the view on the privacy choices page.
Local storage is different from a cookie, but it also persists on your device. Clearing this site's browser data removes saved preferences. Private browsing, browser settings or unavailable storage can prevent a choice from being saved. Privacy preferences themselves are saved when possible so the site can apply them on later visits.
External media and links
An embedded YouTube player loads only after you choose Play. Permission for external media is enabled by default, but permission alone does not load a player. You can turn it off in privacy choices. Playback uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. Once a player loads, YouTube receives network and playback information and applies its own practices. That mode does not mean playback sends no information to YouTube.
Sharing buttons are ordinary links to other services. We do not load their SDKs or post on your behalf. Following a share link, an external article link or a video link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy. Native sharing uses your device's sharing tools.
Included design assets and article photographs are served locally. If an article uses an externally hosted image, your browser must contact that image host to display it. The external media preference controls embedded players; it does not block ordinary links or every external network request.
Storage, access and disclosure
Signup records are stored in the site's SQLite database. The website's data is held on its host and may be included in backups. The publisher and service providers needed to host, maintain or back up the site may access information for those tasks. Email correspondence also passes through the services used to deliver and store email. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably needed to address misuse, protect the site or defend legal rights.
Private editorial research can be sent to an AI provider when the publisher enables editorial tools. Newsletter subscriber records are not included in those drafting requests. Reader messages should not include confidential material intended to remain outside the editorial process.
How long information stays
We keep signup records until you unsubscribe, request deletion or the list is no longer needed. Other information is kept only as long as needed for its purpose, security, legal obligations or resolving a request. Backups rotate under the backup arrangements in use; deletion from the active database may not remove every backup copy immediately. We do not promise a fixed backup deletion schedule.
Requests and changes
Email info@editusa.com to ask about information you supplied, request access or a copy, correct it, unsubscribe or request deletion. You do not need an account. We may ask for information proportionate to the request to avoid disclosing someone else's records. Normally, confirmation from the signup email address is sufficient for a signup request; please do not send government identification unless we explain a specific need and a suitable way to provide it.
Legal rights and exceptions depend on your location and the laws that apply. We will explain any reason we cannot fulfill a request. Our California notice describes additional rights that may apply. We recognize and display Global Privacy Control when the browser exposes it. There is currently no sale or advertising sharing for that signal to stop.
We will revise this policy when practices change and update its effective date. Check this page for the current policy.
