A rock found in the Sahara is a 4.1-billion-year-old piece of Mars, one of the oldest ever found

Teghaza 001, a nearly 2-pound meteorite found in the Sahara in 2022, formed on Mars more than 4.1 billion years ago, NASA says. It is one of only three Martian meteorites that old and may come from the planet's cratered southern highlands.
