Game 6 of the WNBA Finals starts Thursday, October 29, at 12:30 p.m. Eastern, seven and a half hours earlier than its original evening slot. Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream viewers can watch on USA Network or stream on Peacock, according to the WNBA's October 26 announcement.

The change puts the Atlanta game in the middle of the workday for East Coast fans and the morning for the West Coast. The Associated Press reported October 28 that the Dream announced a sellout at State Farm Arena despite the early start.

The revised start time across US time zones

  • Eastern daylight time: 12:30 p.m.
  • Central daylight time: 11:30 a.m.
  • Mountain daylight time: 10:30 a.m.
  • Pacific daylight time: 9:30 a.m.

When checked October 28, the FAQ on Peacock's WNBA landing page still listed Game 6 at 8 p.m. Eastern. Its playoffs blog lists the revised 12:30 p.m. start, matching the league's dated announcement. Use the earlier time when setting a reminder or recording.

The league says USA Network and Peacock remain the viewing outlets. The time change does not move this game to NBC's broadcast channel. If USA Network is already included in your television package, that is an existing route to the game; a separate Peacock purchase is another option.

What Peacock access costs

Peacock's WNBA page offers Premium at $12.99 a month and Premium Plus at $19.99 a month. Both include live sports. Premium Plus costs $7 more per month, but its advertising exception includes live sports and events, so paying more does not promise an ad-free basketball broadcast.

For a viewer subscribing specifically for this game, Premium is the lower-priced of those two qualifying plans. The page also lists annual prices of $129.99 and $199.99 respectively. Those are full-year purchases, substantially more upfront than a monthly plan for a short viewing window. Check the final checkout total and renewal terms before buying.

Peacock's cancellation instructions say a directly purchased plan stops renewing at the end of its current term after cancellation. Its access guidance says Premium content remains available through the billing cycle. Prior payments generally are not refunded unless the law requires it. Subscriptions purchased through Apple, Google, Roku or another third party must be canceled through that provider, whose terms may differ.

Why the game is at midday

State Farm Arena also hosts the Atlanta Hawks. The WNBA says the Hawks moved Thursday's game against Cleveland to 8 p.m. Eastern to accommodate the Finals. AP reports that the daytime schedule allows crews to remove the Dream's court and install the Hawks' court between games.

Peacock's updated playoff schedule lists a possible Game 7 for Saturday, October 31, at 8 p.m. Eastern. That remains conditional.
