The Milwaukee Brewers will hold their World Series championship parade on Friday, October 30, starting at 10 a.m. Central at North 4th Street and West Wisconsin Avenue, the team says on its official parade page. The route runs through downtown Milwaukee and ends at Henry Maier Festival Park, the Summerfest grounds, where a free rally and fan festival runs until 3 p.m.

Watching from the route is free, and so is entry to the festival grounds until they fill. The team says entry may be closed once the park reaches capacity.

Getting there and getting in

The team expects road closures around downtown and along the route, and says it will announce the specific closures once they are confirmed. Downtown parking will be extremely limited, so the Brewers want fans to use public transit, share a ride, carpool, bike or walk if they can. Shuttle riders should arrive 30 minutes before their time slot and board in the ballpark's AmFam lot. Every rider needs a ticket.

Everyone entering the festival park goes through metal detectors. Bags must be clear and no larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches; clutches, wallets and fanny packs up to 6 by 9 inches are allowed, and all bags may be searched. The team has not yet posted accessible viewing details or overflow plans.

Weather

Friday should be mostly sunny with a high near 56 degrees and a light northeast wind, according to the National Weather Service forecast for downtown Milwaukee. The overnight low before the parade is forecast around 42. The team advises clothes suited to the weather, shoes made for standing, and a charged phone, since fans will spend hours on their feet outside.
