Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and several restaurant chains have posted deals for the weekend. Most come with a condition: a rewards account, a promo code, a minimum order or a costume. Here is what each company's own site or announcement says, checked Thursday evening, October 29.

Conditions to check before you order
Chipotle's Boorito works only inside the restaurant. It does not apply to app, online or delivery orders, quesadillas, kids' meals or catering. Staff decide what counts as a costume, the limit is one discounted entrée per costumed guest, and guacamole, queso and extra meat cost extra.
Shake Shack's code must be typed in capital letters. The $10 minimum does not count the free burger itself, taxes or fees, and the offer excludes drive-thru, third-party delivery apps and locations in airports, stadiums, arenas, travel plazas and museums. Paid add-ons such as bacon and avocado still cost extra.
Baskin-Robbins excludes waffle cones, toppings and sundaes from the 31% discount, and participation varies by shop.
Wendy's says its Frosty Frights set has six characters, each with a Halloween-colored variant, and that an exclusive new one, Brain Freeze, drops October 30; it tells fans to join Wendy's Rewards and turn on app alerts so they do not miss it.
All of these run at participating U.S. locations, so a franchise near you may opt out. If an offer requires an app or rewards account, sign up before Saturday so you are not setting it up at the counter during the evening rush.
