Claims for the $5.3 million SitusAMC data breach settlement are due November 6. Eligible people can request an estimated $75 payment, reimbursement for qualifying losses, or both. Some California residents can also seek a separate payment.
The settlement administrator's claim page limits eligibility to people in the United States who were sent notice of the incident and appear on the class list. A claim is required for cash. The deadline applies to submitting the form, with payments dependent on court approval and any appeals.
This is separate from the University of Phoenix privacy settlement, whose claim deadline is November 5. Each has its own eligibility rules and claim form.
Check the notice before claiming
Look for the notice about the SitusAMC incident discovered around November 12, 2025. The online form requires the Login ID and PIN printed on that notice. People who cannot find those details can contact the administrator through the claim page; it requests a full name and mailing address when helping recover the credentials.
The class includes roughly 662,796 people, according to ClassAction.org's reporting on the court documents. Having a mortgage or hearing about the breach does not by itself establish membership.
SitusAMC denies wrongdoing. The settlement resolves allegations that the real estate finance services firm failed to protect information affected by the incident; the court has not decided those allegations in the plaintiffs' favor.
The cash options can be combined
| Benefit | Amount | What the claim needs |
|---|---|---|
| Flat cash | Estimated $75, potentially higher or lower | A valid claim from an eligible class member; no proof of a financial loss |
| Documented losses | Up to $5,000 | Qualifying unreimbursed costs caused by the incident and third-party records |
| California payment | $50, subject to reduction | Class membership and residence in California between November 12 and November 22, 2025 |
The administrator's FAQ allows the flat payment in addition to documented losses. The California benefit can be added to those categories. An eligible claimant therefore does not have to give up the estimated $75 simply because they have receipts for a covered expense.
None of those figures guarantees a particular check. Only valid claims are paid, and the flat and California amounts depend on the settlement's allocation rules and claim volume. The $5.3 million fund also pays court-approved fees, administration expenses and service awards before benefits are distributed.
What counts as a documented loss
The expense must result from the incident and remain unreimbursed. Examples include covered bank charges, replacement identification costs, credit reports and qualifying credit monitoring purchases.
For credit monitoring or identity theft protection first purchased between November 12, 2025, and the claims deadline, the administrator requires proof of purchase and a written statement that the purchase was primarily because of this incident.
Receipts or other third-party records must support the costs. A spreadsheet or other document you prepare can explain the records, but it cannot establish a valid loss claim on its own. Keep the distinction between the flat payment, which needs no loss documentation, and reimbursement, which does.
File online or meet the postmark deadline

The online route starts at SAMCDataSettlement.com. The administrator also links a printable claim form and lists this mailing address:
SitusAMC Data Incident Settlement
c/o Settlement Administrator
P.O. Box 25226
Santa Ana, CA 92799-9958
Online claims are due November 6. Mailed forms, including supporting documentation, must be completed, signed and postmarked by that date. The administrator's public instructions do not specify an online cutoff hour or time zone.
For a mailed claim, dropping an envelope into a collection box does not ensure that day's postmark. USPS explains that transportation timing can cause a processing-facility postmark to fall after the collection date. To obtain a postmark matching the mailing day, take the envelope to a postal retail counter and request a free manual postmark.
When payment could arrive
The administrator's current dates page lists the final approval hearing for November 17 at 2 p.m. Eastern, or 11 a.m. Pacific. That is later than the November 11 date in the September ClassAction.org report.
Payments depend on final approval and resolution of any appeals. No payment date is promised. Class members also received a separate enrollment code for one year of credit monitoring; receiving that code does not submit a cash claim.
