Arlopu is recalling about 10,318 children's slide playsets sold on Amazon.com and Walmart.com because openings in the sets can trap a child’s head or neck. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says to stop using either recalled model immediately and store it away from children while you arrange a free repair.

Where to find the model number

  • KT-CS17: Look underneath the raised platform for the label.
  • LY-31: Look for the label on the upper rear panel behind the slide.

The plastic indoor and outdoor sets were sold from April 2023 through August 2026 for $90 to $130. Both models have openings that can trap a child's head or neck. On the KT-CS17, the basketball net can also come loose and form a loop that poses a strangulation hazard.

How to get the free kit

Use Arlopu's recall page or email [email protected] with a photo that clearly shows the model number. Arlopu also takes calls at 800-657-9218, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. The company says it will ship the kit free within 15 business days after verification.

Both kits include redesigned panels and a replacement hoop, but the panel parts differ by model. Arlopu provides a separate installation video for each set on its recall page. After installing the kit, use a permanent marker to write “RECALLED” on the removed parts before throwing them away.
